Lord Verramor, also known by the alias Lord Argentum and the epithet the Twin Shadow, is an archdevil of unclear allegiance who has made contact with the Lumina Cell on multiple occasions. He has consistently provided accurate and actionable intelligence, always in opposition to Lady Innocencia — though his own motives remain opaque.
First Contact — Lighthaven
Lord Verramor appeared in Lighthaven on the morning of the 30th of Seraphel's Zenith, 587 LE — the day after Lady Innocencia's escape from the Sanctum of Purity. He identified himself as "the Twin Shadow" and revealed that the escaped prisoner known as "Liora" was in fact Lady Innocencia, an archdevil. He warned the cell of the danger her escape represented and urged them to act.
Second Contact — Oasis City
At the Festival of Shadows in Oasis City, Verramor appeared in the guise of Lord Argentum, a silver merchant. Operating under this cover, he made contact with members of the cell, providing information about magical anomalies and Lady Innocencia's activities. He gave a truth-revealing silver mirror as a festival gift.
Third Contact — Celestia
Following a Sending spell, Verramor arranged a meeting with members of the cell in an unnaturally shadowed alley in Celestia. He confirmed that Lady Innocencia was using the Celestial Lock to manipulate the city's ley lines. He offered his assistance in confronting her — but on the condition that he be their sole ally in the endeavour. The cell declined his offer and proceeded without him.
Character
Verramor is measured, precise, and unfailingly well-informed. Every piece of intelligence he has provided has proven accurate. He offers help, not friendship — his assistance is always conditional and always serves ends that remain his own. He has never explained who he serves or why Innocencia's activities concern him so directly.
He is not an ally in any straightforward sense. He is something more complicated than that.
